1. RMTA offers two scholarships per year – $300 each – for study at a summer music camp.  The student may apply upon recommendation from his or her teacher.
2. It is the responsibility of the teacher or parent to obtain full information from the camp of choice as to cost and deadline for application.
3. The student must submit an application and write a brief essay as to why he or she wishes to attend a music camp.  The application, essay, and teacher recommendation must be submitted by the teacher to the chairman by the postmark deadline.  Application can be found in the FORMS & APPLICATIONS section.
4. Money for a scholarship winner will be sent directly to the camp of choice and must be used within one year from the date awarded.
5. Past winners are not eligible to reapply.
6. Winners of the summer music camp scholarship are required to attend the RMTA September meeting to give a brief report of their summer experience. 

It is suggested by the scholarship committee that you begin your search and application process early as some summer camps will fill up quickly.
